ELSON REUNION IN INDIANA The first reunion of the Elson family was held Sunday in Beechwood Park, Rockville, Ind. A basket dinner was enjoyed at the noon hour and they were entertained during the afternoon with a program which pertained largely to the family history. The program was opened with a talk by Levi Nevins of Rosedale, Ind., president of the organization. A family history was written and read by W. H. Elson, Chicago, author of the Elson Readers for public schools. A poem, "Elson Ancestors," was composed and read by Charles Catlin of Olathe, Kans. Old letters written in 1800 by ancestors and now owned by Mrs. Emma Fredericka Leemis of Magnolia, O., were read by Mary Frances Carress of Rosedale, Ind. It was decided to hold the 1935 reunion in Rockville the fourth Sunday in August. Among those who attended were eight first cousins: Charles Catlin, E. C. Elson, Hense Elson, R. T. Elson, W. H. Elson, Mrs. Lilly Haga, Hannah Mary Seybold, Laura Nevins. Those present from Illinois were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Elson and son, Charleston, Mrs. J. W. Cornwell, Peoria, R. T. Elson, Nellie Elson, Mr. and Mrs.Ray Starwalt, Willard, Paul, Marion, Harold and Anna Catherine, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Morgan, Joyce and Neva, Mr. and Mrs. John Haga, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jones of Lerna; Mr. and Mrs. Levi Beals, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Linkhart and Edna Linkhart, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Redfern, Irene and Eleanor, Rodney and Betty Jane, Albert Beals and son Bobby of Trilla: GeorgE Wilson, Etna; Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Elson, Dwight, John, Warren, Carl, Helen, Rowena, and Miss Bessie Baker, Neoga. Those from other places were: Elizabeth E. Abbott, Lamod R. Abbott, Ida W.Elson, Grand Rapids, Mich.,; Emma Fredericka Lumis, Magnolia, O., Charles C. Catlin, Olathe, Kans., William H. Elson, Chicago. From Indiana there were: Thos.
